III Open mundial de León / III Leon World Chess Open

Fechas del Open Mundial: 17-18 diciembre
I LIGA DE CAMPEONES, que se celebrará el viernes 16 por la tarde, a partir de las 16,30 horas.
Lugar: León (España)

Saludaros a todos y comentaros las buenas noticias. Los patrocinadores del OPEN MUNDIAL de LEON siguen apostando por nuestro proyecto y este año 2011 tendremos la III Edición.
Actividades
1) III Open Mundial de León
2) I Liga de Campeones
3) III Conferencia magistral
Fechas del Open Mundial: 17-18 diciembre. Sábado 17 a partir de las 16 horas y domingo clausura a las 14 horas.
Premios: alrededor de 22.000€. Los premios para aficionados y tramos de ELO siguen siendo prácticamente los mismos, y se han aumentado en la categoría Sub-18.
Este año hay una novedad, la I LIGA DE CAMPEONES, que se celebrará el viernes 16 por la tarde, a partir de las 16,30 horas.
4 jugadores: Ljubojevic (Serbia), Hubner (Alemania), Sax (Hungria), Seirawan (EEUU) o Hort (Alemania).
Suplente: Borislav Ivkov, primer Campeón del Mundo Juvenil.
Un round robin a una vuelta donde todos los participantes del Open Mundial están invitados. En caso de empate, 2 partidas rápidas a 7 minutos y caída de bandera.
Nota: Estas leyendas participarán igualmente en el III Open.
El jueves 15 de diciembre habrá otro acto interesante, a las 19,30 horas. Conferencia del GM serbio residente en Linares (Jaén), Ljubomir Ljubojevic, quien coincidió con tres de los mejores jugadores de la Historia: Fischer, Karpov y Kasparov, y con la época dorada del Ajedrez. Y nos contará anécdotas de su brillante carrera ajedrecística y de sus encuentros con estos grandes campeones.

La sala de juego (Estadio Hispánico, al lado de la Pza de Toros) solo tiene capacidad para 300 participantes, por lo que se aceptarán solicitudes por riguroso orden de inscripción.

I’d like to pay you my regards and give you good news. The sponsors of OPEN MUNDIAL de LEON/WORLD CHESS OPEN in Leon are still putting its faith in our project and the Third Edition will again take place this year 2011 in Leon.
Events
1) III World Chess Open
2) I Champions League
3) III Master Lecture
Dates: December 17-18. Saturday 17, from 16h to 21h and Sunday 18. Closing ceremony will start at 14h.
Prizes: around 22000€. Prizes for amateur players and ELO categories are similar to previous years and Sub-18 category prizes have been increased.
This year 2011 there is an interesting novelty, the “I CHAMPIONS LEAGUE” that will be holding on Friday 16 from 16.30 in the afternoon.
4 players: Ljubojevic (Serbia), Hubner (Germany), Sax (Hungary), Seirawan (USA) or Hort (Germany).
Reserve player: Borisov Ivkov, first Junior World Champion.
A single round robin where all participants of the World Open are invited to come. If a tie will occur, 2 rapid games at 7 minutes per player would decide the winner.
Note: Legends will also take part in the main open competition (III Leon World Open).
On Thursday 15 December, there will be other interesting event (at 19.30h.): Master lecture by Serbian GM, settled in Linares (Jaen, Spain), Ljubomir Ljubojevic, who has played in the golden ages of chess together with three of the best players of the Chess history, Fischer, Karpov and Kasparov. He will tell us many stories about his brilliant chess career and his games against these three great champions.
